We fall in love, enter into a committed relationship, get married and are supposed to live happily ever after. Right? However, at some point, all the unfinished business that we bring into the relationship starts to emerge. Not knowing how to deal with it, we often argue, fight, and feel disconnected. But we know we want to stay together, we are committed to each other, and in some way we feel unsure of what to do. If so, this series is just for you. It’s about incorporating Spiritual Practices such as Presence and Dialogue with Rituals of Connection to make of your relationship a Spiritual Path.

Couplehood As A Spiritual Path (CASP)

This is an eight-session program that is an educational adaptation of the book, Getting The Love You Want “Getting the Love You Want: A Guide for Couples” by Harville Hendrix, which has sold over one million copies and is translated in 50 languages. Husband and wife team, Harville Hendrix, Ph.D. and Helen LaKelly Hunt, Ph.D., developed Imago Relationship Coaching. They created “Couplehood as a Spiritual Path” especially for Christian churches. Linda facilitates CASP programs for Christian churches.

Couplehood As A Spiritual Path To Peace (CASPP)

CASPP is an interfaith version and adaptation of CASP that Linda has assisted in developing for couples of any spiritual leading. Her vision is to contribute to a world of peace as peace is created in our closest relationships and as we increase our awareness of the message of love, reconciliation, and dealing with conflict in all kinds of human relationships that is at the core of all great faith traditions. Linda facilitates CASPP for any group of peacemaking spiritual seekers.

What You Will Learn:

  • The stages that intimate relationships go through.

  • How committed partnerships promote healing and growth, restoring our essential wholeness.

  • How to transform the “space between” the two of you into one of safety and passion, something you experience as “sacred space.”

  • How conscious partnerships can transform society.

  • How using the Imago processes helps you create A NEW WAY TO LOVE.

  • A new way of talking and listening that will:


    • Dissolve long-standing tension and conflict.

    • Remove negativity from your relationship.

    • Create emotional and physical safety

    • Develop empathy and compassion.

    • Create and sustain connection, deepening intimacy and passion.

The course is open to all couples, straight or gay, who are interested in improving the quality of their relationship.
  • Couples who have a good relationship and want to deepen intimacy.

  • Couples who have a difficult relationship and want to restore connection.

  • Couples who are near divorce and want to find an alternative.

  • Newly married couples who want to sustain a safe and passionate relationship.

  • Couples planning to be married and want to start off on the right track.


 The Opportunity It Presents for Service:

Sponsoring either of these courses in your church or for your group gives you an opportunity to establish an ongoing support network for couples. After the 8-weeks, couples from the course can continue to support each other in sustaining this NEW WAY TO LOVE in their partnerships. Studies have shown that there is more success integrating new behaviors and practices into your life when you have support.

Additionally, couples who take the course and would like to teach it to new couples in their homes or faith communities are encouraged to think in that direction. Linda will remain as a mentor/coach to those leader couples.

Contact Linda Marshall through this website or call her at 937-684-2245. Invite her to do an Introductory Session for your faith community or spiritual group. This allows all who might be interested to attend and decide if they want to sign up for the eight session two-hour classes.
